Egton Surgery

We are a friendly practice ideally located in the centre of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park, but also only 7 miles from the vibrant seaside town of Whitby. We have strong links with the Community Hospital in Whitby and also with the regional hospitals at Scarborough and the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

We have excellent support services at our surgery, including counselling, physiotherapy, podiatry antenatal and health visitor clinics. We also have HCAs and an experienced Practice nurse to support us in providing excellent patient care. This year we were identified as having the highest Patient satisfaction scores in the in the region.

Our list size is 2,400 patients, though we cover a large rural geographic area.  We are the ‘Home’ of the EMIS software.

We are also involved in teaching and training of both Medical students and GP registrars.
