Care UK is also the market leader for healthcare in a Health in Justice setting, providing a range of healthcare services to more than 20,000 offenders in over 30 prisons across the country. Our innovative recovery model of care is supported by the use of the latest technology underpinned by training and support. All of these factors help us to deliver high quality standards of care.
We realise that for GPs, variety and flexibility is important and therefore we offer opportunities that reflect this. Whether you are wanting to undertake extra sessions in Out-Of-Hours or looking to establish yourself in a service on a permanent basis, we will be able to accommodate your needs.
Care UK offers the chance to be a GP in a practice, in a prison, in a walk-in centre, in the out-of-hours service, in a sexual assault referral centre, on the telephone or at home. We can even combine different roles to create a bespoke portfolio job that matches your experience and ambitions. Our scheduling is flexible so we can work around your other commitments, interests or studies.
Support in your role starts from day one, with a strong and supportive team of experienced clinical leaders who will guide you, as will our robust induction and training programmes.. Furthermore, we actively encourage professional development, from supporting specialist training to clinical leadership, we provide the tools to shape your professional career.
In fact, nine in ten of our GP clinical leaders have grown up from providing front line patient services at Care UK. We offer courses in-house and externally and we can support GPs taking further education qualifications. Our prison healthcare team offers substance misuse certification and an accredited course with Lincoln University.
