Practice Medicine in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada – one hour drive to Toronto.
Are you MRCGP, MICGP, FRACGP, FACRRM, DABFM? If so, you could soon be enjoying a terrific work-life balance where you can spend more time with your family than at the surgery.
YOLO – You Only Live Once – and Canada is a great place to spend your life. In Canada, the equivalent to a UK surgery is called a clinic and in most clinics, you will practice 8 hours a day and five days a week!
You can practice medicine the way it should be practiced – Focusing on the Health of your Patients, Minimal Admin, No Home Visits, and Respect from your patients.
Our client operates a small group of clinics in the Waterloo Region of Ontario. While it operates very professionally, it has that family “feel” where your lifestyle is important. One of the clinics has an opening for a general practitioner in one of the busiest clinics. Patients are primarily walk-ins. You are encouraged to build up a panel of regular patients with appointments.
You should be prepared for a wide variety of patient illnesses and accidents. The clinic is very well-equipped and very well-supplied to ensure you can practice medicine the way you have always wanted.
Throughout Canada, private GP’s are paid on a fee-for-service basis which means the more patients you see the more you will earn. With low admin duties and a relatively quick diagnosis and treatment you will be surprised how many patients you will see in a day.
Your gross earnings in your first year should exceed 230,000 GBP and each year after you can expect significant increases.
The City of Waterloo is adjacent to the City of Kitchener which has earned them the moniker “Twin Cities.”
Waterloo is 55 miles southwest of Toronto – approximately a one-hour drive. There is a train too!
Waterloo’s population is 115,000 and Kitchener’s is 255,000, a great size since there are many green spaces and safe, spacious neighbourhoods. Compare this population to the 3 million people in Toronto and you can see why Waterloo has become a very desirable place to live.
Whether you rent or buy a home, the cost is at least 50% less for a comparable residence. Yet, you can earn the same in either city. A good opportunity to build your wealth!
There are almost 1,600 acres of parks and conservation areas in Waterloo. These offer golf courses, zoos, hiking trails, swimming pools, tennis courts, and much more.
The Grand River flows southward along the city's east side providing residents for plenty of opportunities to enjoy the shoreline with their families.
If you have children that may have a future in the tech sector, then Waterloo is a great place for them. Tech people from around the world come to the University of Waterloo as it has earned a reputation for tech innovation and excellence. The city is part of Canada's Technology Triangle (CTT), a joint economic development initiative of Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge and the Region of Waterloo that markets the region internationally. Despite its name, CTT does not focus exclusively on promoting technology industries, but on all aspects of economic development. Waterloo has hundreds of high-tech firms with a presence of all the major companies.
