ELECTION OF RCGP PRESIDENT 2021 – 2023

Prof Amanda Howe will complete her two-year term of office as RCGP President following the College’s AGM on 19 November 2021. Nominations are therefore being sought for a successor, for a two-year term of office from 2021 - 2023.

The role is non-political and non-executive. Functions and responsibilities are largely ceremonial and ambassadorial as head of the College structure. The President also chairs the College’s Fellowships & Awards Committee. The time commitment to carry out the role effectively is 2 whole days (4 sessions) per week x 46 weeks.

College Members and Fellows in 'good standing', and College Honorary Fellows, may stand for the office of College President.  International Members and Fellows, Fellows Ad Eundem, Associates or Affiliates may not stand, propose, second or vote in the election.  College Associates in Training (AiTs) may vote in College national elections, but may not themselves stand, propose or second candidates.

Online nominations may be submitted between 26 February and 31 March 2021 on the dedicated elections microsite. CV’s or other documentation will not be accepted. A ballot of the College membership will be held during July to determine the successful candidate.
