Looking for a More Relaxed Alternative to General Practice?

When looking on Google at the many articles on the stresses that GPs are coming under, what are your thoughts on the increasing workload and expectations in NHS General Practices.

Are more GPs choosing locum work over becoming a partner? As a locum you can choose your days and where you work, but are the stresses still there? For GPs there are other options available.

Taking a side-ways step into alternative General Practice allows you to take a break from the NHS and experience working as a Civilian Medical Practitioner. The MOD offer posts across the UK and overseas. Working on a base offers a more relaxed working environment with longer patient appointments and working with military staff who are generally positive minded people. You will be working within well equipped medical centers with Dental and Physiotherapy centers within easy access all on one base. Working hours are shorter, typically 08:00 - 16:00 with no work to take home and 1 hour each day to enjoy lunch and take a well earned break.
