South Cumbria - Kendal and Barrow-in-Furness.

We provide out of hours (OOH) primary care and Extended Access appointments to the population of Cumbria (500,000 people over a land mass of 2,613 square miles), working out of 12 clinical sites.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Nurse Practitioners Prescribers to join the CHoC team in support of our out-of-hours  services in the South of the county offering flexible working opportunities in a fast-paced but supportive working environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The post holder will work as a member of a close team responsible for recognising, negotiating and implementing processes to enhance the delivery of care.

You will:

  • assess patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
  • initiate treatment
  • conduct investigations
  • give advice and manage problems using professional autonomous decision making processes
  • liaise with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Due to the requirements of the role, a minimum of 5 years post registration experience is necessary including primary care experience.
