Sessional GP's required for various locations across Cumbria to work in Out of Hours and Extended Access

Are you looking for a flexible role? We are delighted to be advertising for GPs to join our clinical team as part of both our Out of Hours and Extended Access services in Cumbria - extended Access provides routine bookable appointments in order to give patients more flexibility. 

ABOUT CHOC

We provide out of hours (OOH) primary care and Extended Access appointments to the population of Cumbria (500,000 people over a land mass of 2,613 square miles), working out of 12 clinical sites.  Our core bases are:

  • Kendal
  • Barrow
  • Whitehaven
  • Carlisle
  • Penrith
  • Wigton

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our General Practitioners form an integral part of the CHoC team.  As a GP you will respond to medical problems presented by patients which may include:

  • Clinical advice by telephone
  • Face to face consultations
  • History taking
  • Examination
  • Diagnosis
  • Investigation
  • Treatment
  • Referral where appropriate

All CHoC Clinicians must adhere to the Cumbria Health on Call Code of Good Practice and keep updated with policies and guidelines.
