ELECTION OF RCGP PRESIDENT 2019 – 2021

Prof Mayur Lakhani will complete his two-year term of office as RCGP President following the College’s AGM on 22 November 2019.  Nominations are therefore being sought for a successor, for a two year term of office from 2019 - 2021.  All College Members, Fellows and Hon. Fellows in good standing may propose and second another for election as College President (1)  

The role is non-political and non-executive. Functions and responsibilities are largely ceremonial and ambassadorial as head of the College structure. The President also chairs the College’s Fellowships & Awards Committee. The time commitment to carry out the role effectively is 2 whole days (4 sessions) per week x 46 weeks.

Online nominations may be submitted between 1 February and 31 March 2019 on the prescribed form.  CV’s or other documentation will not be accepted.

Closing date for receipt of nominations -  12 Noon, 31 March 2019. 

(1) International Members and Fellows, Fellows Ad Eundem, and Affiliates may not stand, propose, second, nor vote in the election. Associates in Training  (AiTs) are entitled to vote in all national ballots.
