Quality Lead - General Practitioner (Home based, National)

We are recruiting on behalf of our private client for a senior qualified GP to take the lead on strategy and operational delivery of their quality and safety agenda. They are a national provider of over 20 NHS primary care services and have ambitions to grow; they are therefore seeking exceptional leaders to initiate change and maintain high standards. 

This national role with a wide remit, you will be remotely based with the requirement to travel and liaise with key internal and external stakeholders. 80% of your post will be in an operational/managerial capacity. 

The role

  • Key senior management position within growing private provider
  • Accountability for the quality, safety and effectiveness of the services across Primary Care
  • Delivering high quality, safe and effective care on behalf of the Operations Director; overseeing the management of quality across the portfolio of services, providing support and challenge and direction to all colleagues
  • Leading the design, development and implementation of primary care strategy in line with organisational objectives
  • Engagement with local NHS/LA health and care improvement plans such as sustainability and transformation plans (STPs),
  • Positively promote the organisation with commissioners, and the regulatory, professional, academic bodies
  • Chair Clinical Governance Committee and reporting into the Clinical Governance Committee, as a committee member
  • Functional line management to Safeguarding, infection control and nursing leads

You

  • Full and unrestricted GMC (UK) registration on the GP Register
  • Named on the English National Performers List
  • MRCGP
  • Outstanding operational leader
  • Track record in strategic and multisite roles
  • Understanding of private sector and commercial performance
  • Expertise in clinical governance systems and safeguarding standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and implement change
  • Proven influencing skills and credibility amongst clinicians and senior colleagues
