A typical day at Saxonbrook will begin around 9am when you will greet and treat a variety of patients who have both booked appointments in advance or who have booked on the day. Throughout your morning clinic we schedule breaks to allow you to catch up or grab a cup of coffee. Around half 11 your clinic will end with a few phone calls to patients you already know, reassuring them of results or perhaps agreeing further referrals. We have a lively staff room where a variety of team including administration and clinical meet and eat together.
We regularly hold lunchtime meetings which allows us to bring the team together and discuss hot topics, incidents and developments. Our friendly team enjoy the opportunity to challenge each other and to voice any concerns to our Partners.
The afternoon session is very similar to the morning session unless you are our duty doctor. We work this on a rota and meet our doctors needs whilst ensuring at all times our patients are well cared for.
To make life that little bit easier we employ a letter administrator, healthcare administrator and medical secretary who all are competent in their roles and take responsibility for referrals, results and letters in the first instance. We also employ a mental health specialist, advanced nurse, nurse prescribers and physician associates who love to be on our team.
