Opportunity Overview

As a Designated Prescribing Practitioner (DPP), you'll supervise and mentor qualified Pharmacists training to become a prescriber.  during their 90-hour placement. This is equivalent to one day per week for 12 weeks. This is not a separate employment or contract, but an opportunity to host trainees at your workplace and integrate mentorship into your existing role.

Key Responsibilities

• Host and supervise IP pharmacist trainees during their 90-hour placement at your workplace
• Provide shadowing opportunities within your current healthcare setting
• Offer guidance and assess trainee competence
• Collaborate with our training coordinator
• Complete necessary documentation for student progress

Qualifications

• Current registration as a GP in the UK
• Active role in a GP surgery or healthcare setting
• Active prescriber, preferably with a minimum of two years of experience
• Regular place of work where you can accommodate students
• Experience in mentoring or supervising (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
