Newly Qualified GP ARRS Role
Location: Liverpool
Pay: Starting at £250 per session, (£52,000 per annum for 2 days a week)
Hours: 08:30–18:00
Start Date: December 2024
Interview Date: Tuesday 3rd December
AppLocum have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified GP to join a supportive PCN in Liverpool. Based within one of their practices, this role is initially offered on a fixed-term contract until March 2025, with the possibility of extension (subject to funding).
Their position will be for 4 sessions per week, ideally on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Eligibility:
This role is exclusively for GPs who have qualified within the last 2 years and have not held a substantive employed post.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Consultations and Diagnoses:
- Conduct face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations to assess, diagnose, and manage a variety of medical conditions.
- Offer guidance on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment plans tailored to patients' individual needs.
Prescribing Medications and Treatments:
- Prescribe appropriate medications, therapies, and referrals based on clinical evaluations.
- Ensure prescriptions align with clinical guidelines and consider interactions or contraindications.
Management of Chronic Conditions:
- Provide ongoing care for patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, asthma, or hypertension.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and manage care plans.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate patient records using practice software.
Review and act on lab results, referrals, and correspondence from secondary care providers
Requirements:
- Qualified GP within 2 years of registration.
- MRCGP certification.
- Full GMC registration.
- Performers List registration.
- Clear Enhanced DBS check.
- No prior substantive post.
- Strong communication skills with a confident and empathetic approach.
- General understanding of General Practice and Primary Care.
