Salaried GPwER Teaching

Background:

An outstanding opportunity to join a visionary Teaching Practice whose adaptive and flexible way of working has proven to meet the demands of today’s General Practice very well.

Keen to grow their Medical Student teaching, they are now looking for an additional Salaried GP to teach 3rd and (mostly) 5th year students. Ideally, you’ll have worked with medical students already but GPs with an aspiration to teach students will also be considered.

You’ll benefit from 15-minute appointments and a collective approach to same-day working which negates the need for an on-call GP meaning no dreaded Duty Doctor clinics!

Your clinics will be a mixture of pre-booked, same-day and follow-up appointments allowing you to flex your clinic depending on the need of the day, initially with supervision and tutorials mixed into your clinics but then likely moving to dedicated teaching sessions. With no Duty Doctor requirement there’s also no requirement for you to be on-site until 6.30pm, so the hours therefore are very flexible and accommodating of things like school pick-ups.
