  • 4-8 sessions available at a Sessional rate of £12,000.00 to £13,500.00 pa.

Our thriving semi-rural teaching and training PMS practice of 9500 patients is well located with good transport links to Ipswich and London, and only a short drive away from the Suffolk Heritage Coast with its big skies, outdoor pursuits, and popular seaside towns such as Aldeburgh and Southwold.

What is different?

We have NHSE consent for our Project Initiation Document and have now submitted an Outline Business case for a new building in which we plan to host everything from an NHS Nursery to Community Cafe and Optician.

Main duties of the job:

To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the PMS contract. Furthermore, the post holder will adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

About us:

Facilities are important but people are crucial. We have modelled our Team according to the needs of our patients and made significant departures from NHS standard provision. We directly employ a Registered Mental Health Nurse for six sessions a week who works according to our needs and we have a Clinical Care Co-ordinator who does so much more than sign-posting – she seeks out patients with complex and holistic care needs and plays a key part in our health inequality strategy.

We have a dynamic Patient Participation Group with whom we work on projects as diverse as obesity with reversal of Type 2 Diabetes, social isolation, SPIN (Saxmundham Patient Information Network) and medical equipment storage and supply. GPs cannot do everything and so we empower patients to help each other.
