NEWLY QUALIFIED GP (NQGP) SCHEME - ENFIELD

ABOUT THE SCHEME
In collaboration with NHS England, the NQGP Scheme aims to support newly qualified GPs as they develop their careers within General Practice.
This scheme enables a Doctor to remain in clinical practice for a minimum of 6 sessions per week, which includes one session of protected time for continuing professional development and with educational support.
Start Date: 1st August 2018
Sessions:
Minimum 5 clinical sessions
1 educational/ development session
Salary: £9,000.00 per session + Medical Indemnity Fees


STRUCTURED EDUCATIONAL/ DEVELOPMENT SESSION
In the first year, Enfield GP Federation will fund GP Practices for 1 session a week to release you to carry out an structured educational/ development (to be mutually agreed). This can be within a Secondary or Primary Care settings and the options will be discussed and agreed with you.
If no organised training they would be at the practice supporting with QUIP and audits etc. but not clinical work.
Please note, in the weeks without organised training you will be expected to support Enfield GP Federation with QIPP, audit etc. (non-clinical work).


SUPPORT AND MENTORSHIP
Continuous support and mentorship will also be provided through the young practitioners group.
