OUR PRACTICE

Our friendly, pioneering and forward-thinking private Practice is actively engaged in the process of transforming health services in Guernsey. We operate a busy Practice with two surgeries (Queens Road Medical Centre and Le Longfrie Surgery), 10 GP Partners, 10 Associate GPs and 15 nurses / HCAs and are committed to delivering preventative services to improve the health outcomes of our 23,000 registered patients. We operate a traditional general practice that cares for the Island’s population, providing holistic family medicine with named patient lists.  In 2020 we launched the first genomic screening programme in Primary Care for Familial Hypercholesterolemia with outstanding results.

We are due to move into our new, fully renovated premises in November 2024. 

Compared to the NHS, our Practice boasts higher patient satisfaction rates and continuity of care, lower list sizes, excellent administrative support and higher GP autonomy.

WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a generous salary package and benefits including private health insurance, pension scheme, GMC subscriptions and indemnity insurance paid for you, seven weeks leave per annum, a GP Mentor to help you settle in, your own PA and of course a fantastic quality of life.

Partnership opportunities with income in keeping with a successful private practice, eight weeks annual leave, sabbaticals and property company shares exist for applicants following a successful six-month Associateship, if desired.

Special interests are welcomed as we are always looking to expand the services we offer.  A recent innovation has seen a consultant colorectal surgeon offering services and minor procedures from our premises.
