Clinical Advisor (Medical Doctor for Office Based Role) in Stafford

Part-time (ideally 3 days in office)

Are you an experienced Doctor looking for a change in career?

We have a limited hours role that could suit a Doctor looking for a change of pace for example either someone who wants more time with their family, is retired or semi-retired.  

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Doctor looking for an office based advisory role. Working with a lovely team of nurses and lawyers to help provide clinical insights and reviews on medical reports and records.

The medical records and reports that we work with relate to serious injury and malpractice and so this is a chance for an experienced doctor to continue working in a rewarding career, without being in active clinical practice.   

This arm of the business has been trading for a number of years and is part of a practice that has been running for over 25 years.

The role requires someone who has many years of medical experience that they can call upon, in a non-clinical environment which is friendly and patient centric.

Salary

Based on equivalent of £60,000 FTE

Main tasks of this role include:

• Reviewing letters to establish which specialty of doctor or nurse would be most appropriate to create the medical report
• Review of CVs of experts on our panel to assign specific experts to the case
• Conversations with staff and fellow doctors to help guide them in their creation of a medical report.
• Review and quality checking of medical reports and other clinical evidence
• Helping to respond to general clinical queries from non-medically trained staff and clients.

Qualifications

 • Medical Degree and Advanced Training in a specialty 

Knowledge and Experience

• Preference is for experience in medico-legal reporting, but training can be provided
• Experience in clinical practice

Office location and working hours:

• Stafford, Staffordshire (Must be able to commute to Stafford)

Will suit those travelling from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Stoke, Telford areas.
