Salaried & Sessional Vacancies: Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment Service GP in London

A new opportunity has arisen for salaried or sessional IUC CAS GPs to join our team and work within our CAS in Barking, North East London. This is an exciting time to join LAS as we embark on a new strategy to integrate urgent and emergency care services incorporating 111 and 999. 

The hours of work will be choice and flexibility available with full/ part time salaried positions will be by mutual agreement with successful candidates and the salary or sessional rate will reflect hours worked (including unsocial hours)

Working as senior clinician within the multi-disciplinary Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) team, GPs will provide enhanced clinical consultation via telephone to patients who have contacted the CAS.  GPs will use their medical knowledge and experience to provide clinical leadership and support to the CAS multi-disciplinary team
which includes Health Advisors, Clinical Advisors and Advanced Practitioners (nurses and paramedics). 

GPs will also provide clinical support advice to healthcare professionals within the community including ambulance clinicians, community nursing teams and allied health professionals and care home staff.

Indemnity: Any GPs or pharmacists engaged or employed by the Trust will be covered under the Trust’s NHS litigation authority membership so individual additional cover will not be required.
