Salaried GP

​Background -
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-thought of practice in the popular Newton Abbot area, working with a really varied population group offering both ends of the affluence and deprivation spectrum and mostly working age.
There is a real culture of support from the Partners with Salaried GPs very well protected and the Partnership itself is very stable with tenures ranging from 6 years to 26 years.
Workload is very reasonable and the Partners understand the time required to complete admin resulting in all Salaried GPs having a protected admin block and extensive time throughout the day on top of this to complete your work.
The acute care is shared out amongst all GPs meaning there is no Duty Doctor requirement nor is there any requirement for Salaried GPs to cover evenings or weekends.

Salary - £10,500 - £11,500 per session plus indemnity



Location - Newton Abbot


The surgery -

• GP Training Practice with multiple trainers
• Very middle of the road demographic
• Excellent patient scores (Top 10 in region)
• Geared towards reducing GP workload
  • Home-visiting Paramedics
  • Protected admin hour
  • List-holding for continuity and to reduce time looking through patient notes
• All GPs get their own room
• Guaranteed parking on site
• SystmOne clinical system

Your role -

• 6 sessions
• 13 patients in the morning, 12 patients in the afternoon
• 15-minute appointments
• Morning coffee meeting
• Protected admin block during 6th session
• No Duty Doctor!
• No evenings or weekends!
• 0-1 visits per week
• Last patient at 4.45pm, 6.00pm finish but there is flexibility for school/nursery pick-ups
