GP Clinical Lead, Cambridge and Peterborough

4 sessions per week

  • £323 per session plus professional indemnity cover for clinical shifts worked
  • 60 sessions annual leave pro rata (24 sessions)

As a highly successful not-for-profit Social Enterprise with a good CQC report, HUC are proud to provide integrated urgent care services to the patients of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, bringing together the NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours services into a single seamless high quality service. 

We are looking for an established and respected local GP to provide clinical leadership and direction.  The Clinical lead will work as part of the wider established team.  HUC is able to offer a supportive, enjoyable and rewarding team based culture. Ideally, this role will be based in our call centre in Peterborough with travel across the region.    

In this role you will

  • Provide strong vision and Clinical Leadership for the service
  • Drive the implementation of clinical initiatives
  • Ensure the service complies with all governance requirements
  • Engage with our Clinical workforce and lead educational events and development
  • Support the recruitment, induction, performance and training of our GP workforce
  • Work with the management team to deliver quality standards and KPIs
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including our commissioners
  • Work closely with other regional teams to share and develop best practice
