IUC Clinical Lead, Cambridge and Peterborough

4 sessions per week

  • £323 per session plus professional indemnity cover for all clinical shifts at HUC
  • 30 days annual leave pro rata for part time working

We are looking for someone to work closely with our senior managers to provide clinical leadership for the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) Service across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.  

In this role you will

  • Work closely with the leadership team to implement initiatives and governance
  • Develop the service including outcomes of care, specifications and quality standards
  • Base proposals within the wider requirements of the IUC
  • Contribute to ongoing productivity and efficiency objectives
  • Ensure service adherence with quality standards and KPIs.
  • Ensure patient safety and adherence to all appropriate risk management processes
  • Provide clinical advice and recommendations to clinicians within the Service
  • Manage the Clinical Leads for the Service
  • Represent HUC at external meetings on clinical matters
  • Work closely with other regional IUC Clinical Leads and Medical Director to share and develop best practice
  • Travelling as required

You will have

  • An established and respected career as a GP

  • A desire to keep the focus on patients’ needs and improving outcomes
  • Ability to influence professional colleagues in areas relating to conduct and standards
  • Willingness to develop other clinical leaders
