Vocare Ltd provide Urgent Care Services to 9.2million patients across 52 sites in England through a committed and diversely skilled 2000 strong workforce.   The recent acquisition of Vocare by Totally plc has brought about positive and dynamic leadership changes to the executive and Board which positions Vocare well to make necessary early improvements and to sustainably deliver and develop joined up services for patients.  This is an exciting time within Vocare and the Medical Director role brings with it complexity, leadership challenges and opportunity, all of which you would expect from a large, at scale, provider organisation.

We are searching to secure a recognised, experienced, high calibre clinical leader to our Medical Director role, with an unshakable commitment to improving patient care and to developing colleagues in a changing healthcare delivery environment.   The successful candidate will be pivotal in ensuring we evolve our integrated urgent care and out of hospital strategy, business and service delivery to bring about improvements in quality and outcomes for patients.

To make the necessary early and sustained impact on our workforce, partners and stakeholders our ideal candidate will need gravitas, excellent interpersonal skills and will need to be able visibly demonstrate their drive, enthusiasm and leadership capability.  Board level success and leadership experience of the NHS 111 Service and UCC Services would be advantageous. 

Individuals will be required to regularly travel across the regions as part of their role, so a full driving licence is an essential element of the role.
