Primary care is undergoing a radical transformation in Ayrshire and Arran to meet the changing needs of the population we serve, the opportunities of Health and Social Care Partnerships and changes to the General Medical Services contract.

We are now seeking to recruit an Associate Medical Director to provide leadership in setting the strategic direction and development of primary care services with independent contractors and Health and Social Care Partnerships, which would result in improved health outcomes and quality of services to patients, and reduced inequalities in health.

Candidates should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be confirmed team players. An ability to work across the primary - secondary care interface is essential, along with a proven track record of delivery of the strategic aims of NHS Scotland and Health Board / Health and Social Care Partnerships.
