General Practitioners – Lancashire OOH

Looking for weekend work ? We have the servcie for you!

We are working with an OOH provider who are looking for GPs to help on a Sunday for their shifts in an MIU in East Lancashire.

System: Cleo (New software clinical system, which they will provide training on) and Adastra

Specifics:

  • Due to the volume and complexity of the work coming through the CAS, we have made the decision to trail a new software clinical system purely for the CAS service (named Cleo) which will see us separating out CAS , some UTC and OOH's activity making the workload easier to manage and therefore increasing safety, however it does mean we need clinicians to be trained up to use Cleo and PaCCS. (Pathways Clinical Consultation Support)
  • The CAS service all triage and signposting the patient to the correct location, whether that be, closed at triage, refer to ED, appt in OOHS or a UTC or directed to a particular speciality which will be identified on PaCCS.
  • PaCCS is an online training which we can set clinicians up with, this just shows them how to access PaCCS and navigate their way round it. PaCCS gives them the ability to book patients into various service which are on the DOS and dispatch ambulances if needed.
  • Mixture service of working on the injuries unit as well as dealing with the CAS service using NHS pathways to triage the patients to the relevant services.

The expectation would be then that they are there to:

  • Support the Clinician
  • Triage for CAS service
  • If other sites become over whelmed with triage they then help these sites (Blackpool / Morecambe )  via Adastra by logging into the correct location.

Dates:

Ongoing rota available, Sundays

Shifts can be split into 2 halves.
