GP Fellowship Opportunity, Gateshead

An exciting opportunity for a GP Fellowship at Teams Medical Practice has arisen.

We are looking to recruit a newly qualified GP to join an enthusiastic, forward-thinking, well-established Practice for 4-6 sessions per week  to help deliver first class medical care to our patients, with a particular interest in substance misuse.

Teams Medical Practice is an established, high-achieving practice serving a socio-economically deprived population of approximately 5,500 patients in the Inner West PCN area of Gateshead.

The GP Fellowship post is a 2-year programme for newly qualified GPs to work within the Practice and focus on substance misuse patients.  One session per week will be dedicated to fellowship working and will provide a programme of support and funded CPD opportunities. The postholder will be supported to complete the RCGP Part 2 Certificate in Management of Substance Misuse Patients.

The successful candidate will also manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients.
