We have opportunities at Flitwick Surgery for:
8 sessions per week (will also consider a combination that covers 8 sessions per week).
6 sessions maternity cover for 6 months minimum from November 2022.
We are looking for salaried GPs who are committed, enjoy working within a varied clinical team and has an interest in proactively managing and bringing new ideas to patient care and general practice.
Our salaried GPs have the opportunity for a varied job and the support to gain or extend specialist skills or take on training, teaching or research.
Competitive salaries, negotiable depending upon experience. MDU Indemnity paid.
About Us – Flitwick Surgery, Flitwick, Bedfordshire
The Surgery is run from a purpose-built medical centre with onsite parking.
Flitwick Surgery is a semi-rural dispensing doctor partnership only 15-20 minutes from the M1, A6 and other good transport routes, ensuring easy commuting from a wide local area (we are just 20 minutes from Milton Keynes and have a direct train service to London).
The surgery has a multi-disciplinary practice team which comprises:
- 4 partners, 5 salaried GPs,
- nursing team including HCAs, practice and advanced nurse practitioners who manage LTCs,
- a clinical pharmacy Team,
- strong admin support,
- ARRS Staff – Care Co-ordinators and Health Coaches.
We support team working and all our clinicians have time allocated for a daily morning whole team MDT meeting to discuss clinical issues.
We are a teaching and training practice (one of our current partners joined the practice as a GP Registrar) – we train ST2, ST3s and FY2 doctors. We can support newly qualified GPs or GPs who wish to become trainers.
List size: 14,500 patients.

6 weeks annual leave and study.
Support and training to develop specialist interests such as minor surgery.
We have a long standing interest and take part in clinical research activities as a Research active practice within the Eastern region.
