  • Gradual introduction to holding a patient list and opportunity for extended time slots during your transition year into practice
  • A named GP in practice mentor with dedicated time to support you
  • Join our next New to Practice programme, offering a range of regional and local education, training peer support and mentoring, for salaried or partner roles.
  • Relocation package available for some practices of up to £10,000 to assist you in your move.
  • Opportunities for fellowships in leadership, research, clinical specialist interest.
  • Many practices will be happy to agree flexible working
  • Access to subsidised CPD opportunities and a range of other training courses through Cornwall Training Hub
  • A central, online Locum GP bank, advertising shifts available across various practices across the county

West Cornwall ICA covers 4 primary care networks (PCNs) in Penwith, North Kerrier East, North Kerrier West and Isles of Scilly and South Kerrier. It provides services to a total patient population of approximately 168,000 ranging from larger practices serving approximately 30,000, to smaller practices with around 3000 patient population.  It is served by several community hospitals including Helston and Camborne Redruth, and the acute hospital both in Truro and West Cornwall.  Investment in primary care in Cornwall is higher than many other systems, and across Cornwall we have one of the highest numbers of dispensing practices in the country.
