IUC Medical Lead (Surrey)

We are continuing to build on our extensive experience in Primary Care by delivering deliver Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) service across the UK.

We are now looking for a Clinical or Medical Lead to join our Surrey OOH & CAS team on a fixed-term basis, working 4 sessions a week as a Clinical Lead and also working clinically within the service. This would be for a 12-month fixed-term contract or secondment basis.

We’ll make sure that your skills are kept completely up to date with a dedicated CPD programme. We provide an environment where there are always opportunities to innovate and learn and put your ideas forward.

About the Job
You will work with local CCGs and external stakeholders to develop, review and maintain patient pathways delivered through the service. You will be supported by the current Surrey IUC Medical Lead. 

You will also use your clinical expertise to provide medical oversight, ensuring that there is appropriate clinical governance, quality assurance and service improvement processes in place in order to ensure we are delivering the best possible care to our patients. This will include identifying system improvements, pathway improvements and identifying training needs and promoting and supporting clinical audits.

This job will be 4 sessions a week as Clinical Lead, with a minimum of one clinical sessional a week as addition. Working hours can be flexible, but we are ideally looking for someone who can work their clinical session/s in the out-of-hours period.

We are looking for a qualified GP, ANP, or ACP who have the following:

  • Inclusion in the GMC Register (if a GP) 
  • Inclusion in the NMC/HCPC/GPhC Register (if an Advanced Clinical Practitioner)
  • Inclusion on a CCG Medical Performers List, as well as MBChB and MRCGP qualifications (if a GP)
  • MSc in relevant advanced practice and a non-medical prescribing (if an Advanced Clinical Practitioner)
  • Experience in Medical Management is desirable but not essential
