The Tamar Faculty are recruiting an AiT lead, the AiT lead would be expected to attend four (online) board meetings per annum, where you would get to input into the work of the Faculty and learn more about the work of the College.
Purpose of the role
As an AiT Rep, post-holders will aim to:
- Share and represent the views and experiences of AiT members
- Continuously improve the RCGP’s understanding of the AiT community
- Enhance the AiT membership experience
- Provide a proactive feedback mechanism for the AiT community
- Act as a communication channel between members, Faculty Officers and staff
Main duties and responsibilities
As a AiT Rep, post-holders will be expected to:
- Proactively represent the views and experiences of their peers
- Share insight, ideas and experience in relation to their community group
- Be accessible to the community group they represent
- Act as an ambassador for the RCGP and its activity to engage their respective community group as members of the College
- Act as a champion for general practice, advocating the endless opportunities associated with a career as a GP
- Adhere to the relevant policies and procedures of RCGP, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, Information Security and Data Protection
Skills and attributes required
- Be a current AiT member of the RCGP
- Reliable and willing to commit to requirements of the role, as outlined above
- To represent the views of their peers in a cooperative and respectful manner
- Enthusiastic to enhance the membership experience of AiT members
- Confident in speaking to people from a diverse range of backgrounds/expertise
- Motivated to make positive change on behalf of the members they represent
- Willingness to uphold the values of the RCGP
