Opportunities for GPs - East of England

Up to £120k p.a. or equivalent + NHS Pension + Benefits

If the opportunity to provide high quality patient care in a highly flexible working environment appeals, then HUC could be the ideal destination for your skills. We’re using digital technology to connect our patients to expert medical advice and care. For our GPs that means greater flexibility and control over how and where you work.

In terms of location you can be based anywhere - choose to work from home, or from your own office. Or a blend of home working and working from one of our Contact Centres, UTCs, Primary Care or Out of Hours Bases. (we have locations in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough) might be the ideal arrangement for you.

You can also choose the contractual arrangements that work best for you. You can be employed directly by HUC with the additional benefits of annual leave, study leave sick leave and career development options or you can opt for a self-employed model of working. And there are part-time and full-time opportunities available.

What’s more, you can expect an incredibly diverse range of work. Our organisation is thriving, and continued growth has enabled us to expand and diversify our service offering. Our clinical assessment (triage) service has gown and we are working with a number of partners across the region adding clinical assessment capacity to their 111 provision, so we have a number of opportunities for people to be part of this service. We also have opportunities to see patients face to face as part of the integrated urgent care offering in Primary Care, GP Extended Access, as well as our out of Hours Bases

We’re keen to hear from medical professionals who are excited by the prospect of delivering healthcare in a different way, and who recognise the potential of digital technology and remote access to connect patients to tailored, expert advice quickly.

You’ll need to be registered with the GMC and it’s important that you are comfortable using technology and to learn new and complex computer systems to undertake remote patient assessments.

You’ll be part of a growing organisation that’s always ready to do things differently. That means unrivalled opportunities for new experiences and professional development. And while you may be working in a remote manner you can be confident that you are part of a professional community, that is working together in the best interest of our patients.

Our commitment is that we put the patient at the start and heart of our care. If this resonates with your own values this is a great opportunity to put it into practice.
