Salaried GP Required (with view to partnership) 4-6 sessions a week, Pitlochry

Owing to retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new GP colleague to join our enthusiastic and committed multidisciplinary team in beautiful Pitlochry, Perthshire. The post is initially salaried with a view to joining the partnership at six to twelve months.

We seek a motivated and enthusiastic GP with a good work ethic and sense of humour who will slot into our friendly, supportive team. We are a 5 partner GMS practice working from modern purpose-built premises with a list size of 4,800 patients. However, this list increases in size over the holiday months to encompass the care of visitors to Pitlochry. We are lucky to be supported by excellent staff. These include two ANPs, Practice Nurse and a superb admin team. We also have a Pharmacist and Psychiatric Nurse attached to the practice. The practice also enjoys a close relationship with our nursing colleagues in our purpose built GP lead 9-bedded cottage hospital which is attached to the practice.

As a team we are proud of our involvement in teaching and are part of the ScotGem (Scottish Graduate entry to Medicine) programme. There is no Out Of Hours commitment, but the opportunity exists to become part of the Tayside Team delivering this service if desired. A Golden Hello may be available.

Pitlochry is a thriving tourist town in the heart of Perthshire and on the doorstep of the Cairngorm National Park. The surrounding lochs, rivers, glens and hills make it an excellent destination for outdoor activities. Pitlochry is also home to the widely acclaimed Festival Theatre and is well served with transport links to London, Edinburgh and Inverness. Pitlochry has an excellent school and we are within easy reach of some highly esteemed private schools.
