RCGP Wellbeing Champion

Representing your peers and your College

The RCGP wouldn’t exist without its members, each of which has their own needs, interests and aspirations. We exist to support, engage and educate members in their local areas. We want to support and empower our members to shape our activity aimed at growing an engaged and fulfilled membership.

We are currently seeking to appoint new champions to support our wellbeing agenda and outputs.

The role will require the Member to:      

  • Attend their Faculty Board meeting
  • Attend all other relevant board meetings and feed into ideas and output
  • Gather and share insight, ideas and experience in relation to your community;
  • Attend Community Forums which exist to provide a platform for all representatives to collectively share their thoughts, ideas and experiences;
  • Read relevant guidance and attend the Communities Summit;
  • Adhere to the relevant policies and procedures of RCGP, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, Information Security and Data Protection.

What skills and qualities do you need?

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to make positive change to GP wellbeing;
  • Able to constructively represent the views of their peers on the subject of GP wellbeing
  • Reliable and willing to commit time to attend local and national meetings, on occasion during evenings and weekends;
  • Willingness to uphold the values of the RCGP.
