Salary - £9000- £10,000 per session depending on experience

We have a vacancy for a forward thinking GP to join our multidisciplinary team. We are part of St Helens CCG and Newton & Haydock PCN – which is innovative and progressive.  We would encourage applications if you are newly qualified and are interested in a Post CCT Fellowship Role.

  • Evolved to meet the objectives of the 10 High Impact Actions of the 5 year forward view and innovated during Covid19; e.g. digital platforms and safety measures for patients / staff
  • In House Multidisciplinary Learning
  • PMS Contract currently

We are particularly interested in a candidate developing their leadership skills and supervisory / teaching skills to support out current experienced trainer.  Ideally the candidate would complete the supervisor course, work towards basic trainers course and also the PED.

We have plenty of teaching and leadership opportunities within the practice including regular ‘breakfast club’ and also ‘lunch and learn’, which we have continued during Covid-19 either socially distanced and/or virtually. Other opportunities include supporting GP trainee teaching, medical student teaching, and support/mentoring our ANP and GP assistant

We hope that the successful applicant will continue in the practice, become a trainer and potentially a partner. In addition we hope they can develop any clinical area of expertise both within the practice and supporting the PCN e.g. Mental Health, Palliative Care or working with the PCN Frailty Team
