Turning Point is a leading social enterprise providing health and social care services for people with wide-ranging and complex in over 200 locations across England and Wales.  For over 50 years we have worked with those affected by drug and alcohol misuse, mental health conditions, offending behaviour, unemployment and people with a learning disability.

Our strategic aim is to extend our reach in terms of client types with an increasing emphasis on early intervention within the general population utilising technology to enable new service delivery models.

We currently employ doctors, nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, recovery workers, care workers, and support workers with our services delivering over 100,000 interventions and over 15,000 prescriptions per month.

Our joint venture with The Retreat called Northern Pathways manages a 12-bed in-patient service providing a 'step -down' and 'step across' Tier 4 Personality Disorder provision for women in the Yorkshire and Humber area.

About the roles

We are looking to recruit three non-executive director positions - two on the Turning Point Group board and one on the Northern Pathways subsidiary board.   

Role 1: Non-executive director with specific relevant clinical expertise and extensive understanding of the quality standards and risks associated with health and social care service delivery to join our Turning Point Group board. Salary £4,000 PA Plus Expenses 

Role 2:  Non-executive director with knowledge and experience of financial management and / or risk management at board level to join our Turning Point Group board. Salary £4,000 PA Plus Expenses 

Role 3:  Non-executive director with clinical knowledge and experience in the provision of health and social care services to join our Northern Pathways board. Expenses only

About you

You will be an experienced non-executive director committed to the ethos and values of Turning Point and its subsidiaries in delivering health and social care services.  You will have a broad network of contacts and depth of experience to further the business aims of Turning Point.  Experience and knowledge of deploying technology to create innovative business models and value-creation in service delivery would be a distinct advantage.
