Bixter Health Centre – Full time (40 hours per week)

An opportunity has arisen for a full time substantive GP post – we are happy to consider job share as an option. The Bixter Practice is a salaried Dispensing General Practice, providing medical services to a population of approximately 1,200 patients and offers variety and stimulation that can only be found in remote settings.  The Practice use EMIS and DOCMAN.  The incoming GP will be supported by a dedicated, friendly, proactive and supportive practice team in a well structured environment.  We are looking for highly motivated GPs with a passion for clinical care and a strong team-working track record.  The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the local GP out-of-hours co-operative, which is remunerated separately to the salary shown and will also provide early morning (0800-0830) on call which is shared between this and a neighbouring practice.

Successful candidates will have the option to develop specialist interests e.g. paediatrics, obstetrics, dermatology etc should this be of interest.

  • Salary Range £61,499 - £92,805 per annum
  • Distant Islands Allowance £1,738 per annum
  • Local Retention Premium of 2% of basic salary
  • Relocation Allowance of up to £8000
