CAS Clinical Navigator

Are you an experienced GP, wanting to make a difference outside of your standard duties?

If so, the Clinical Navigator may be the role for you.

This will ideally be a salaried role, but can be offered on a full time or part time basis (hours can be negotiated). The full time equivalent salary would be £96,900 - £107,100 per annum.


About The Job

The CAS service is open from 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The skill mix within the service are made up of ANPs and GPs, incorporating urgent care with telephone triage / consultations.

You would work as part of this mix consulting patients and providing clinical support to the other working clinicians as required. In times of demand they would help to assess and manage the clinical queue by highlighting the cases in need of priority assessment.


About You

You will be an experienced GP, included on the GMC register as well as England's National Performers List.

You will have experience in confidence in managing acute and chronic presentations, and will be comfortable in treating all age ranges of patients (including under 2s) autonomously.

You will consider yourself a problem solver and decision maker. Not only do you take pride in your high standard of care, but you will also be passionate in helping the wider team.
