We are very open to discussion regarding different models for delivering care, so if you are interested in working part time, day time only or want to develop a portfolio career incorporating other roles elsewhere, please get in touch.   This post is currently salaried but if you would like to discuss taking on the practice as an independent practice, we would be happy to consider that as well.

We are looking for highly motivated GPs with a passion for clinical care, a strong team-working track record, ability to contribute to the community and would be happy to help you develop your specialist interests.   The post involves daytime GMS work plus out of hours provision to a population of 1200 on Yell (the Yell practice includes providing cover to the small island of Fetlar).  The post has study leave allocation to allow you to acquire and maintain the skills needed.

The post will appeal to experienced practitioners wishing to establish a healthier work life balance.  Systems to support you include EMIS and DOCMAN.  The team in the health centre delivering health care services is friendly, welcoming and very supportive, and there is a work car provided for the use of the GP.  The practice provides their own Out of Hours cover and compensatory rest for this cover is given in the annual leave entitlement.  For more information on the practice, please see below for links to the practice website:
