The School is looking for high-calibre professionals for the post of Associate Professor (Clinical) / Assistant Professor (Clinical) in Family Medicine.

Applicants should have (i) a medical qualification (approved for registration with The Medical Council of Hong Kong); (ii) a professional qualification in family medicine (e.g. FRACGP, FHKCFP, MRCGP or equivalent attainment of FHKAM (Family Medicine) would be an advantage); (iii) experience in health service/ primary care/ family medicine research; (iv) a strong statistical and analytical background; and (v) good leadership as well as being a team player. Applicants for Associate Professorship should also have track record of teaching and student supervision, interdisciplinary research, publication and grant proposal writing.

The appointee will (a) undertake teaching and clinical duties and supervise postgraduate students; (b) conduct research in Hong Kong and mainland China; (c) apply for new grants; (d) develop and co-ordinate of research projects and publish of peer-reviewed papers; (e) liaise with collaborators within the region; and (f) undertake related administrative duties.

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing as soon as possible, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
