Lerwick Health Centre –2 x full time (40 hours per week)

• 15 minute appointments as standard
• Successful training practice
• GPwSI opportunities available

An opportunity has arisen for two full time substantive GP posts – we are happy to consider job share as an option. The Lerwick Practice is a salaried General Practice, providing medical services to a population of approximately 9,000 patients and offers variety and stimulation that can only be found in remote settings.  

The team delivering health care services is friendly, welcoming and very supportive. The GPs in Lerwick participate in the local GP out-of-hours co-operative, which is optional and remunerated separately to the salary shown. The Practice has a team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners who deal with on the day acute presentations, and we also have Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. We use EMIS and DOCMAN and successful candidates will have the option to develop specialist interests e.g. paediatrics, obstetrics, dermatology etc should this be of interest.

• Salary Range £61,499 - £92,805 per annum
• Distant Islands Allowance £1,738 per annum
• Local Retention Premium of 2% of basic salary
• Relocation Allowance of up to £8000
