IMH is a network of Primary Care centres which has recently merged with Total Physiotherapy Limited to create one integrated healthcare business of 72 sites. Dedicated to helping the NHS meet the needs of patients, we provide wide-ranging support via our field-based teams and Support Centre to enable our sites to run smoothly.

We are delighted to have been featured in an article on Building Better Healthcare, as a result of our most recent project to transform healthcare Swindon. The leading web and print resource for healthcare professionals covered our new plans to create a network of five practices in the Wiltshire town and improve the lives of more than 53,000 patients. Together, the practices will work collectively to provide exceptional standards of care to patients throughout the town. One of the practices will become a designated central hub, where call handling, clinical administration and triage will take place.

This new project will help to improve standards and transform patients’ lives, making it easier to access appointments and with greater flexibility than ever before. We also want to provide patients with a greater choice of services from convenient locations, rather than having to be referred to centres that may be difficult to get to or unfamiliar. In our years of working in primary care, we’ve determined that flexibility is the key to not only strengthening care standards, but also for helping health professionals improve their work/life balance. When greater flexibility and choice is provided, everyone wins.

Our chief medical officer, Dr David Jones, said: “In Swindon we have the opportunity to transform the way we deliver care to our patients by working together as a group of practices. We are confident that the new central hub will have important and tangible benefits for the local community; for example, standardised and improved patient outcomes and allowing more time to care for our patients. We are passionate about delivering safe, sustainable and effective primary care for the people of Swindon and look forward to implementing this exciting new project.”

Taking inspiration from the NHS’ General Practice Forward View – which advocates the streamlining and improvement of administration services – we’re keen to find ways to make the most of the existing healthcare system while also looking for ways to improve efficiency.

We recognise and support GPs who are looking for a portfolio career and we can also support special interests such as minor surgery. Within our group we have an array of opportunities, including full-time, part-time, patient facing, non-patient facing and we’ll soon be up and running with video confrerencing.

We’re looking for motivated and forward-thinking GPs to join IMH practices, in Swindon and our other locations across the UK.
